2 Days Until the Premiere of "The Stakes"

Last week, the University of Missouri - St. Louis released another article detailing the production of "The Stakes" and highlighting its premiere at The Tivoli Theatre in St. Louis this Thursday night.

The article interviews Producer, Joshua McNew and Writer, Jack Snyder about the inception of the film and how our team came about making it a reality.

"The film is the culmination of hard work by UMSL students and professionals, like Chris Benson, who owns the St. Louis-based production company Lamplight Films. He was the director of photography on the film and tasked with making it look like a high-quality movie."

New White Elephant Logo Premieres with "The Stakes"!

Some of you may or may not know this... But for all of my official film work (projects that I conceived, shot and/or helped create) have been flown under the banner of "White Elephant."

"White Elephant" is the name of my official film production company. It is a name I became attached to about 18 months ago, prior to the release of my short silent film, "HOME." That was the first film project of mine to use the moniker and I have since used it on all other projects that I believed fit the criteria.

With the "The Stakes" officially premiering next week on July 12th, I saw fit to update the "White Elephant" logo and turned to my good friend Will Massanet of Steryo Type Clothing to help modernize the brand. And after much debate between a handful of very cool new choices, I settled on the logo that I felt had the most potential and not only modernized the brand, but also made it memorable.

Behold and feast your eyes on the new face of "White Elephant" Films.

Vice Vega Makes It on PerezHilton.com!

Holy Shit! We actually pulled it off!

After cramming together a video and concept in less than 72 hours, we made the deadline of Perez Hilton's "Can You Sing?" contest and ACTUALLY made the Top 5!!

Let's put that into perspective... thousands, and I MEAN THOUSANDS of people across the world submitted their versions of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" to PerezHilton.com and we actually made it in the top 5 honorable mentions!

Not to mention, the band got to grace the front of the site and gained 3,000+ views in only two hours.

You can read the entire article HERE:

CAN you sing??? These Folks Can!

This topped off an amazing and successful week for me, which included the announcement of the official premiere of my short film, "The Stakes." Thanks to everyone who visits this site, watches the videos and just generally supports me and my art.

    It is greatly appreciated!

    Keep Watching!

"The Stakes" will premiere on Thursday, July 12th!!

"The Stakes" has been officially selected to be a part of Cinema St. Louis' "2012 St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase" on July 7-12th at The Tivoli Theatre in University City, MO. It will premiere on Thursday, July 12th before the closing night feature film, "Fatal Call" directed by Jack Snyder!

This is a HUGE accomplishment for everyone involved, especially being that over 120 films were submitted and we were one of the few who were chosen! Here is some info about the Festival:

"The Whitaker St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase (SLFS), an annual presentation of the nonprofit Cinema St. Louis, serves as the area’s primary venue for films made by local artists. SLFS screens works that were written, directed, edited or produced by St. Louis natives or those with strong local ties. The 2012 Showcase programs will screen at the Tivoli from July 7-12. The programs range from full-length fiction features and documentaries to multi-film compilations of fiction and documentary shorts. Many programs include post-screening Q&As with filmmakers."

Showtimes and ticket sales will be announced shortly, so stay tuned and be prepared to get them fast!
