6.8.13 TEAR OUT THE HEART "Coffin Eyes" Live Music Video
This week as CeCe moved forward on The X Factor, she was faced with the challenge of singing in front of Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas in Demi's own home. After a quick exchange of advice from Demi, who suggested that CeCe tone down her confidence a bit, Miss X to the O got it together and stepped up to perform LMFAO's monster hit "Sexy and I Know It."
CeCe jokingly points outs to the judges that the song is just for fun and in no way reflects her own pride... see for yourself. Will it be enough for her to move on in the competition?
Back in June, within a 5 minute window, you might have seen a blog post about my last video with CeCe ("Wild Ones") where I said that her and I would be on a brief hiatus while she was busy competing on The X Factor.
Well, within seconds, MissXtotheO was lighting up my iPhone in a frenzy about how we were supposed to keep it secret (keep it safe). So I swore to her, I would keep my mouth zipped until the day came when she would appear on the Fox talent show.
Well... TODAY is that day. Last night, during The X-Factor auditions in Kansas City, CeCe made her worldwide television debut, WOWing the judges with her rendition of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man." Naturally, all four judges (which includes L.A. Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato) told the girl she had "The X Factor" and moved her along in the competition.
So, now... as we waited to find out CeCe's fate on the show (and I will continue to stay hush), all our videos together have been temporarily locked down. So at least for the time being, you wont be able to see the portfolio that we built together until her time is done on the show. So chill out!
Keep watching and supporting your girl @CeCeMissXtotheO
She's traded in one Mueller for another. CeCe is back again this time venturing solo, but with the help of Ryan Mueller, Kyle Jordan Mueller's younger brother. You may remember Ryan from the "Marry the Night" video last month, in which he was playing Bass along side the pair and Matthew Amelung. This time around we built a small fire in the woods and let Cecelia belt her vocals out as loud as she wanted in the dead of winter.
I'm not partial to the artists I work with, I will admittedly let you know if you suck or not and most of the time, I will take note of that before choosing to work with an artist. Here is an example of the extreme opposite. I was well aware of CeCe's vocal ability before I began working with her in October, but this time around, she really blew my mind.
I worked on this video for a week, without every having listened to the original song, by Demi Lovato. Upon completion, I decided to have a listen to the original track and was completely disgusted by what I heard. Lovato sounded like a wounded calf screaming for emminent death, while CeCe's version sounded sweet, sad and full of longing for a love she can not have. Lovato sounded like she needed to be back on diet pills.
Needless to say, I am very proud of CeCe's work and hope that those in Hollywood, that have already been eyeing her talent, really take notice after this one.
