CeCe tackles LMFAO in front of Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato

This week as CeCe moved forward on The X Factor, she was faced with the challenge of singing in front of Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas in Demi's own home. After a quick exchange of advice from Demi, who suggested that CeCe tone down her confidence a bit, Miss X to the O got it together and stepped up to perform LMFAO's monster hit "Sexy and I Know It."

CeCe jokingly points outs to the judges that the song is just for fun and in no way reflects her own pride... see for yourself. Will it be enough for her to move on in the competition?

    Keep watching,

KJM Gets All METAL... in a CAVE!!

It's been a quick minute since the last time I was able to bring you a NEW Kyle Jordan Mueller video, but alas... HERE IT IS!

After touring with The Dangerous Summer this past spring and hitting up spots on Warped Tour this summer, KJM had a strong urge to come back to his roots with a straight Screamo cover, and the track he ultimately chose was Of Mice and Men's "O.G. Loko."

When first approached about the concept, I welcomed it with open arms! For the last year, I have collaborated with Kyle on videos that strictly stayed in the vein of Pop/Top 40 and for the first time (besides his TDS cover video) he wanted to do something completely outside of the box. I knew right away that this direction would not be suited for shooting inside a recording studio, so he reached out to a few unique locations, including the one he ultimately chose, Crystal City Underground.

Located in Crystal City, MO (about 20 minutes South of St. Louis), CCU is a large underground tavern and amphitheater that host many live bands and other local events in a vast cavern that stretches along the banks of the Mississippi River. Upon entering the cave I was completely blown away by the Jurassic Park-esque quality it portrayed. Rain was beating down on my windshield as I approached a large metal gate that guarded a narrow wooden bridge, overlooking a rather brisk stream of water. Fog covered the roadway across the stream and I physically had to get out of my Jeep to open the gate.

Once across, I entered the first of two cavern areas, bitch black and damp. That led to another opening, which appeared to be in the middle of a rock quarry, on the other side of which was the official entrance to Crystal City Underground.

Inside of the Cave was a bar, a theatre, Frisbee golf, 4-Wheelers, a giant stage and more probably left to be explored by those braver than I. Not to mention Kyle Mueller, who was already set up on top of a giant metal festival stage that seemed to have been on loan from the original Woodstock. Deep within the cold cavern, I filmed Kyle going to town on some double bass fills and nearly destroying his beautiful cymbals.

I hope you enjoy and as always, please leave your comments below.

CeCe Battles It Out Over Some Whitney!

So your girl, CeCe has officially moved on to Boot Camp in the X Factor Competition, and found herself in a Whitney Houston face off on last night's episode, belting out her signature "I Will Always Love You."

Of course I'm biased, but Cecelia blew me away, having filmed her over the last year, there have been several times when she has blown my mind and shown me how extremely talented she really is, and last night's performance was one of those moments.

I guess we will find out what happens tonight, as The X Factor returns for more Boot Camp trials and tribulations.

Also, I have been receiving a few e-mails about CeCe's videos, once again... Her video portfolio (filmed by ME) will be online after her run on the show is complete! Until then, keep supporting your girl and feel free to TWEET her at: @CeCeMissXToTheO

Vice Vega Ships off for Los Angeles...

Bah! It was only a matter of time, but on October 8th, Vice Vega will officially be headed to the west coast... permanently.

The band played its final St. Louis show on Sept 15th to a packed crowd at indie favorite venue, The Firebird. The show was a farewell to all of the bands family, friends and fans who have supported them over the last 10+ years, throughout their various incarnations. The set, I am happy to say, did not only cover their most recent repertoire, but also included a couple of hits from their days as OPTION//CONTROL.

    So... where do I begin?

About 9 years ago, I met an up and coming pop-punk musician named, Steve Neske. We had both been in established bands since the late 90's and were recent attendees of Webster University in St. Louis. I was introduced to Steve in the school's University Center by my lead singer and best friend, Emilio Hernandez (Nothing Still). Even though Emilio and Steve had gotten to know each other fairly well by having class together, something about Steve and I clicked, and we found some sort of spark between us that formed a solid comradery from that day on.

Over the course of the next few years, we had fun, played music, dropped out of school, promoted shows, got drunk, wore dresses and did other unmentionable things that built the foundation of our friendship today. And while at times, we were competitive and even jealous? of one another, I knew that we had a connection that was unlike any other.

When I decided to take some time away from playing music and focus on filmmaking, I knew that I could use my connections in the local music scene to help build a portfolio. The first band I turned to was OPTION//CONTROL. Besides my own, they were the only other band in St. Louis that I felt like I just "GOT" and I knew that I had a creative vision for their equally (if not MORE) creative music. You can revisit our works together in the MUSIC VIDEO section of the site, but without them, I for sure would not be a busy and successful? as I am today.

So it is with a heavy heart that I have to say good bye to my friends, for now. Hopefully soon I will finally get to visit them in the City of Angels, and if I'm lucky... get to move out there myself.

Visit their Website, Facebook, Twitter, whathaveyou... and show them some love before they leave the MidWest for good!

You can READ the article about their move from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch HERE:
