    Update On New Project!

Sorry for the delayed update, I had a crazy week coming back from Atlanta, recutting the OPTION//CONTROL video, and playing with Saucy Jack!

Right now I am staring down the barrel of finishing college, with four weeks left to go and a new short film looming on the horizon. So let me take a minute to tell you about it...

With total secrecy, I have been screwing around with this idea for the last year, but have not had the capabilities needed to film it since. My good friend Matthew Alexander Watson and I were working out at Club Fitness when we began to nerd out on one of our favorite comic book characters. We kind of brainstormed an idea for how we would picture the ultimate ending of that movie to be and thus a short film was born.

Fast-forward a year and I am just coming off of two successful productions, including my first short film Home. With that behind me, I was able to envision the film I have been wanting to make since that night in the gym. My final project at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis is to make a 5-10 minute film with sound and dialogue, so the story fit perfectly!

So, in the last few weeks, I got back together with Matthew Watson and began forming the story arc for how our short movie would play out. While I wrote the majority of the dialogue, Matt was able to analyze it and really bring out some of the psychological aspects that I had overlooked. The best description that I could give (without giving too much away) is "a look at the home life of one of the world's most famous superheroes."

As of now, we have almost all of the locations locked down for the production, which will be taking place in less than two weeks. We just filmed at one of Saint Louis' most beautiful areas, Washington University, for some of the exterior shots. I am also stoked to announce that my good friend, Zack Long, has agreed to play the main role in the film.

So stay tuned and follow my tweets for more info on the production.

    Until next time.

P.S. Saw Her There is about to break 1,000 plays on YouTube! Thanks so much for watching!

    500 Plays In Two Days

I'm writing tonight from Macon, Georgia, where I filmed the extier shots for Home. I'm down here to celebrate my gultiest pleasure...Wrestlemania! The shit is going down in Atlanta all weekend and, lucky for me, my wonderful fiancé goes to school in Macon, a quick drive down the road from the ATL.

In other news, myself and OPTION//CONTROL released the video for Saw Her There on Wednesday to great success! The video is quickly rising on YouTube and has received 500 plays in just 48 hours!

I have another version of the video, with a different ending, that I am considering releasing in a few weeks. Until then, please keep watching it here and on YouTube!

If you or a band you know is interested in making a great looking video like this...for an affordable price, please contact me today!

Until next time...I'm gonna' be getting my "mark" on at 'maina.

    I Fockin' Love Kitties!

Thanks to my good friends Justin Holman and Matt Effinger, I'm now brainlessly addicted to "Trailer Park Boys." A big thanks also goes out to Netflix, because without them, I have no fucking clue how else I would have ever seen this uncensored Canadian sitcom. Hence why, "I fockin' love kitties." -Bubbles

So, I just got back home from seeing Zack Snyder's new action bonerjam "SuckerPunch." As a moviegoer, I have watched Snyder's visual style grow from "Dawn of the Dead" through "300" and "Watchmen" to now. Every film grows on his ability to challenge the film industry and actually make movies that can recreate whatever our minds can imagine.

When I first decided to become a filmmaker back in high school, my biggest inspiration was Tim Burton. But now, almost 10 years later, I find myself drooling over making films more in the style of Snyder and "The Social Network" director David Fincher. In fact, I have always loved Fincher's work, beginning with "Alien 3" and "Seven" in the early 90s. I could also talk a lot about Chris Nolan, but I just feel like being a Nolan fan is almost too cliché right now (but if you get me alone in a bar, I'll talk your fucking ear off about "Inception," "Memento," and of course "The Dark Knight").

If you survived that last paragraph, let me tell you about me right now.

    • I just completed the script for my next student film, which I hope to shoot and complete in April.
    • I sat in on a casting session for a handful of theatrical monologues that I wrote, which will be performed on May 2nd at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
    • I'm also nearing the completion of editing the OPTION//CONTROL video for "Saw Her There," which will be released on April 15th.

I again will work harder to update this more often, but time just seems to escape me.

    Until then...
